Cali is from Manorville, New York. She graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA in 2020 and majored in Biology with a minor in Cognitive Neuroscience and a certificate in Genomic Medicine. She was a member of Temple's Honors Program as well as the Science Scholars Program. As an undergraduate, she worked in a neuroscience lab, as a wellness center peer educator, and as a crisis counselor through Crisis Text Line. During the summer, she also worked as a teaching assistant in a special education classroom where she enjoyed supporting children with various disabilities. Cali chose Rutgers because of the dedicated leadership as well as the diverse clinical rotations at prestigious medical and industry locations. She also feels that the program leaders personalize their students' education to ensure they are prepared for their future careers. Cali will be one of three genetic counseling fellows in 2021 NJ LEND.
