Class of 2024
- Amy Huynh
- About:
Amy is from New Holland, Pennsylvania. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2019 with Bachelor degrees in Biology and English Writing and a minor in Chemistry. After graduating, she participated in Capital Fellows, a leadership development program in Washington DC. There, she tutored at an inner city school, took graduate courses in leadership and counseling, interned with Children’s Ministry at a church, and was a peer counselor. Following this program, she worked in a research lab studying various genes involved in chronic kidney disease at UPMC Children’s Hospital and volunteered with the Pittsburgh Science Workshop, a mobile science bus that provides hands-on learning opportunities to underserved communities. Amy chose Rutgers because of their warm and welcoming leadership team, longer rotations, and unique industry rotation. She is also excited for the many learning opportunities with specialty clinics and a diverse patient population.
