Class of 2025 Member

Smrithi Venkatesh is originally from New Jersey but moved away at a young age. She graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2021 with a B.S in Microbiology, Immunology and Molecular Genetics. During college, she worked on phage research. After graduation, she worked as a Genetic Counseling Assistant (GCA) at Ambry Genetics before applying to grad school. She chose Rutgers for the diverse rotations, the welcoming environment, and because she wanted to move back to New Jersey. She's excited to continue her journey to become a genetic counselor!
