    Nikki is from Minden, Nevada, and graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) with a degree in Neuroscience and minors in Biology and English: Cinema and Media Studies. During her undergraduate studies, Nikki served as President of campus organizations including Student Organ Donation Advocates (SODA) and Planned Parenthood Generation Action, as well as Vice President of Operations for her sorority Kappa Alpha Theta. She also volunteered for the Crisis Support Services of Nevada as a crisis phone line counselor and for the United MSD Foundation as a student ambassador. In addition, Nikki was a research assistant for UNR’s Center for Fearless Research within the Department of Psychology and an intern for Advocate Genetics, where she learned about reproductive genetic counseling. Nikki chose Rutgers because of the welcoming and supportive learning environment cultivated by students and program leadership, as well as Rutgers’ extracurricular opportunities and commitment to diversity.
