Class of 2026 Member

Abbey is from Holmdel, New Jersey and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2022 with a degree in Biology with a concentration in Genetics and Genomics. After graduation, she moved to Cincinnati where she worked as the Inpatient Genetic Counseling Assistant at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. There she witnessed the amazing impact genetic counselors have on medical management and mental health outcomes for patients and their families. She also volunteered at the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati and was a support group facilitator at Fernside Center for Grieving Children. Abbey chose Rutgers because of how supported she felt by program faculty and was excited to return home to New Jersey for the opportunity to learn and grow from the healthcare systems she grew up with!
