    Jess is originally from Caldwell, New Jersey. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2023 with a major in Biology, minors in Chemistry and Theatre Arts, and a certificate in American Sign Language (ASL). While at Pitt, Jess was a Resident Assistant for two years, and she was an intern in the Pittsburgh Cytogenetics Laboratory during her senior year. After graduating, Jess served as a clinical research coordinator at Magee-Womens Research Institute in Pittsburgh, PA. She managed various studies in genetics, including one study focused on understanding the genetics of unexplained recurrent pregnancy loss. Jess also completed the 2023 Salk Health Activist Fellowship and 2024 Death and Dying Fellowship through the Jewish Healthcare Foundation, and she is a proud hotline support volunteer for the LGBT National Hotline. Jess chose Rutgers because of the supportive program faculty and unique industry rotations available.
