Class of 2027 Member

John was born and raised in Kerala, India, but later immigrated and settled in Mount Vernon, NY. He graduated from the University of Rochester with a B.S. In Microbiology in 2025. As an undergraduate, John became a GC intern at Johns Hopkins University, where he helped research guidelines for diagnosing conditions that cause dwarfism. He pursued his interest in rare disease advocacy by working as a Student Ambassador for the United MSD Foundation. John is also passionate about addressing Public Health Inequities and has been involved in reproductive health outreach in Odisha, India. In his free time, John loves spending quality time with his friends & family. John chose to attend Rutgers University because of the incredible program faculty who made him feel supported and welcomed during the application and interview process.
