Class of 2028 Member

Shira is from Cherry Hill, New Jersey and graduated from The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) in December 2025 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a minor in Psychology. While attending TCNJ, Shira studied interactions among proteins involved in 16S rRNA processing in bacteria. She also worked as a tutor, a genetics course assistant, and a crisis counselor in addition to serving as a Community Health Awareness Initiative (CHAI) intern for the Victor Center for the Prevention of Jewish Genetic Diseases. After graduating, Shira continued her CHAI internship and worked as a substitute teacher. Shira chose Rutgers because of the supportive program faculty and the variety of clinical rotations offered.
