  • About:

Brianna Jeffreys is a board certified and licensed genetic counselor, currently working as a Genomic Science Specialist for Quest Diagnostics. She supports Quest’s oncology test offerings through assisting providers in selecting appropriate hereditary cancer tests for their patients, reviewing pathology reports received for solid tumor assays, and communicating with providers regarding tumor molecular findings that warrant a referral for genetic counseling. Prior to joining Quest, Brianna worked as a clinical genetic counselor at the Rutgers Cancer Institute for seven years. During her time there, she served as the lead genetic counselor within their precision medicine department as well as the project manager for a research study involving an alternative genetic counseling service delivery model. Brianna has been involved with the Rutgers GCMP for several years as a course director for “Clinical Cancer Genetic Counseling”,  student faculty thesis advisor, and clinical rotation supervisor.  Brianna is a proud Rutgers alumnus and obtained her undergraduate degree in Genetics in 2016.  She also participated in the Genetic Counseling Certificate Program for undergraduate students. So, she feels fortunate to now be able to give back by contributing to the mentorship and education of Rutgers students entering the profession of genetic counseling.
